Skylands Park, which is home for the Sussex Skyhawks, also serves as home
for Skylands Child Care Center and Sussex County SCARC, Skylands Family Recreation
Center and Skylands Internet Café. The park is located in a rural part of Northern
New Jersey, designed to fit in with its surroundings. The outside of the stadium
along with the several buildings are all painted in a red color to resemble that
of a barn. The Family Recreation Center includes batting cages, indoor mini golf,
indoor driving range, and a video arcade. The Recreation Center is available for
parties including birthday parties. The inside of the park reflects parks built
in the mid 1990’s, but has several features which make it more enjoyable. There
are less GA seats, and the ones there are built on concrete, not aluminum. Also Fans
have access to the grassy knolls located down both foul lines. The only seats covered
by a roof are those of the luxury boxes, located behind all the other stadium seats.
Total stadium seating is 4800 and this facility is available for rental for baseball
games as well as other events.
